| The new Fischerscope X-Ray 1010 is a product backed by over a quarter of a century of practical experience in measuring coatings.
No matter whether your goal is basic thickness measurement or stringent statistical process control, the Fischerscope X-Ray 1010 is designed to do the job with speed and reliability. The X-Ray 1010 measures without special location. A narrow collimated x-ray beam is precisely targeted onto virtually any coated surface, regardless of shape and finish. The XM 1010 measuring table is suitable for most component shapes and sizes, from bifurcated miniature contacts to flat printed circuit boards. The well proven technique of simple table-top placement of the test specimen ensures rational and productive measurement. With this method, the distance between test surface and detector remains constant no matter what the component shape. Statistical process control (SPC) capability is provided by either an optional RS232 serial interface or IEC/IEEE-488 bus interface. A measurement log suitable as certificate of test, is produced on the alphanumeric line printer. In addition, a hard copy can be made of the entire contents of the CRT screen. The Fischerscope X-Ray 1010 does precise, contact free thickness measurement of a wide variety of coatings such as gold, silver, palladium, rhodium, tin, nickel, chrome, zinc, etc. Measurement of multiple coatings such as Au/Ni/Cu and simultaneous measurement of alloy and composition (such as SnPb/Cu) are all easily done by the X-Ray 1010.
